John Barr, MD

Kernodle Clinic Neurosurgery Department
1234 Huffman Mill Road
Burlington, NC  27215

My education and career have brought me opportunities to combine my appeal for the surgical art to medicine with a desire to achieve the highest quality of care. The drives for what patients deserve, a symbiotic relationship of quality and advanced surgical performance is what has drawn me to the Duke community. I aspire to learn from both colleagues and patients to enhance future encounters. I view my patient’s surgical experience as a team; we work together and advance together. I have an intense interest in pathology involving the entire spinal axis including sagittal deformity, degenerative processes, oncology, minimally invasive approaches and trauma. I look to serve those in need of answers in this spectrum in a comprehensive and compassionate manner. I aim to focus treatments based on patient’s characteristics and delivering the best-individualized treatment plan. I thank you in advance for the opportunity to help you and our community.
