With deep North Carolina roots and a passion for empowering individuals, Jodie brings both expertise and heart to her new role as a clinical social worker.
Jodie is a Winston-Salem native and two‑time UNC Greensboro graduate; she brings a strong commitment to helping individuals heal and thrive. Jodie chose Kernodle for its strong community reputation and the opportunity to help launch its new social work program. “I’m excited to serve the people of Alamance County and help shape what social work looks like in the clinic,” she says.
Her approach centers on respect, empowerment, and genuine connection. “Clients are the authors of their own story. My role is to give them space to be vulnerable without judgment and support them through challenges.” Collaboration is also key to her work. She values partnering with clinicians, case managers, and community organizations who share the goal of improving lives.
Looking ahead, Jodie hopes to expand services by building a team of social workers and offering therapy groups, staff support, and integrated case management. “I’m always open to feedback about what would best serve the clinic and the community.” Kermode Clinic is proud to have Jodie on board as she helps grow a compassionate, patient‑centered social work program.
