I became a physician because I enjoy connecting with people and helping them through times of illness. For this reason, my favorite part of my job is forming long-lasting relationships with my patients. My specialty is interventional cardiology, which means that I am able to treat heart attacks by performing heart catheterizations and placing stents. I also treat patients with all types of heart conditions, including high blood pressure, coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, atrial fibrillation, peripheral vascular disease, pulmonary embolism, and others. On a personal level, I am proud to call North Carolina home, and it is a wonderful place to raise my two children.
