Dr. Shah believes in the core values of patient and family centered care*:

• Respect and dignity. He listens to and honors patient and family perspectives and choices. He acknowledges your values, beliefs and cultural backgrounds.
• Information Sharing. He tries to communicate and share complete and unbiased information with patients and families in ways that are affirming and useful. Patients and families receive timely, complete, and accurate information in order to effectively participate in care and decision-making.
• Participation. He encourages patients and families to participate in care and decision-making at the level they choose.
