Neurology Scholarly Activities

Teaching:

Dr. Shah loves to teach and believes it is the best way to keep learning and be open to new ideas. 

School students:
If you are high school student interested in health care as profession or just curious about neuroscience.  You can shadow me during my work (patient permission will be asked before you can be present in patient room.  Students can NOT access any patient's personal information.)
 
Allied health  students:
If you are in school to be neurodiagnostic (EMG, NCS, EEG) technician.  You are welcome to observe in our practice.  
 
Publications   Presentations

Dr. Shah has great interest in clinical research.  His interest had been strengthened by ICMR's (Indian Council on Medical Research) Short Term Scholarship program during his medical school days.  During his residency and fellowship at Medical College of Georgia, he was able to do some small scale research.

  • “Reliability of medical student description of seizure semiology” - currently working on this prospective study with Dr. Yong Park.  Started in May 2010

  • Neuroimage challenge: “Orbital Pain and Double Vision: Tolosa-Hunt Syndrome.” Primary Author: Dr. Hemang Shah.  Mentor: Dr. Thomas Swift (Former President of American Academy of Neurology and Professor Emeritus at Medical College of Georgia).  Published in Journal Watch Neurology  June 2010
